The Emery Educational and Clinical Services Center offers a wide array of services including
literacy tutoring, psychoeducational evaluations, speech-language evaluations and treatment,
audiological evaluations, central auditory processing evaluations and related services including
accent modification, individual and counseling, hearing aid consultation, family/caregiver
support, and second opinion and consultant services. Additionally, the Center offers
educational evaluations and consultative support for children with autism spectrum disorders
as well as a social and adaptive behavioral tutorial program.

Services are provided by graduate students from various departments within the School of
Education under the supervised direction of faculty and adjunct supervisors. Certain
evaluations may be performed by faculty members with specific expertise. The Center offers
reasonable rates for services. Special fee schedules are available for qualified applicants. Free,
convenient parking is provided.

The Pauline K. Winkler Speech-Language-Hearing Center is located in the Emery Educational
and Clinical Services Center and continues to provide a full range of diagnostic and therapy
services for adults, preschools and children with all forrns of communication problems. The
Winkler Center is part of a graduate degree program which is accredited by the American
Speech-Language-hearing Association (ASHA), and is a New York state approved preschool
evaluation and service delivery site. As such, we maintain high standards in the provision
of comprehensive assessment and intervention services.
The Emery Educational and Clinical Services Center at the Thelma P. Lally School of
Education is pleased to announce the opening of a nursery school program in the fall of 2003.
The campus nursery school runs with a morning class of 3- and 4- year olds which meets
4 mornings per week and an afternoon class for 3 year olds. The program is staffed by an
experienced NYS certified Master's level Director/Head Teacher. Two graduate assistants
provide additional staffing under the direct supervision of the Head Teacher. The nursery
school provides a child-centered, developmentally-appropriate early childhood environment
that supports children's emerging language, literacy, cognitive, physical and social skills.
