Boy Scout Resident Camps
Choose from week long camps for Boy Scouts, Cubs, and Webelos with a focus on the outdoors, sports and leadership (or day camps for Cub Scouts). Twin Rivers Council offers an exciting, fun-filled and educational experience in the great outdoors. Camp Boyhaven
Boyhaven was built with the younger Scout in mind. Lean-to cabins and indoor plumbing make the transition to overnight camping easier for our Cub Scouts and Webelos. Program areas and facilities have also been developed with Cubs and Webelos in mind. Archery ranges, a vertical climbing wall, water slide, and movie night all appeal to our younger Scouts who are spending their first nights away from home. This year’s theme is “Lost in Space.”

Circle of Life Camp
The Circle of Life Camp is a not-for-profit, coed camp for children with diabetes, at Camp Scully on Snyder’s Lake in North Greenbush, NY. The camp helps to provide age-appropriate diabetes education and social support for youngsters with diabetes. The campers experience a unique opportunity to interact in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, which fosters understanding and acceptance of their condition. They are able to share knowledge, experience, and concerns as well as to participate in educational sessions and recreational camping activities. The camp focuses on fun: playing sports, swimming, crafts, hiking, bonfires, and canoeing.

Clover Patch Camp
Clover Patch is a summer camp for individuals with disabilities where each camper is encouraged to reach his or her fullest potential. The camp maintains a 2:1 camper-staff ratio, 24 hour nursing and fully accessible swimming pool. Clover Patch Camp is home to the Hugh Farley Recreation Center with a fully accessible, heated pool, and Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor. A variety of structured activities are offered, to enhance the camping experience including Arts & Crafts, Music & Drama, Sports, Swimming and Campfires. Outreach Programs such as the Junior Museum, Mad Science, Pet Therapy, clowns, magicians, DJ’s and musicians are planned weekly to enhance the camper’s experience.

State Department of Environmental Conservation Education
Summer Camps
An enjoyable blend of learning and recreation, these week long residential camps heighten the camper’s environmental awareness. Activities-such as sampling streams for aquatic life, hiking in the dark or quietly listening to the sounds of the forest-bring conservation concepts to life. The program offers fishing, hunter safety training, archery, hiking, canoeing and birding are some of the outdoor recreation activities that stimulate the camper’s interest in natural resources. Campers also enjoy traditional camp activities such as swimming, volleyball and evening campfires. (Week long camps for children between the ages of 12 and 14, (Colby, DeBruce, and Rushford) or 15-17 years for Pack Forest Teen Ecology Workshop.

The nationally recognized Capital Region Youth Tennis Foundation offers free tennis lessons (one and a half hours long for ages 7 and up; half hour long for ages 4-6) during the summer at Lincoln Park, Arbor Hill Park, Hoffman Park, and Ridgefield Park in Albany and also at sites in Schenectady, Troy, and Rensselaer. The 15Love Program also provides off-court activities that focus upon education, good health, family preservation, multi-cultural relationships, good sportsmanship, mentoring, and tutoring.

Skidmore College Camp Northwoods
Skidmore College offers a number of programs for students of varied interests. At Camp Northwoods the objective is to provide fun, variety, choice and happy challenges to the imagination, the intellect and the body. Campers take swim lessons and enjoy a free swim as well as participate in activities such as arts and crafts, ceramics, games and hiking. Additionally, Camp Northwoods offers an exciting program of sports, cultural arts, nature study and relaxed play for children.
Skidmore also offers a Summer Sports Camp. Some of the sports offered by this program are: lacrosse, rowing, swimming, field hockey, volleyball, soccer, and basketball, and each child learns the concept of teamwork while acquiring the necessary skills for his or her sport of choice.
