Albany Berkshire Ballet Summer Dance
This camp is a concentrated program for the aspiring dancer, consisting of daily classes beginning with ballet techniques and including pointe, variations, modern jazz, pilates, mime, tap, hip-hop, and choreography.  Students can choose from one or six week classes.

Camp Adventure
This camp has been in operation for over 35 years.  It is 35 acres of beautiful property, owned and operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Rensselaer County.  This camp offers 4 two week sessions.  Campers can enjoy boating, fishing, aquatics with American Red Cross certified instructors, hiking, environmental classes, games, athletics, arts & crafts and more.

Children explore and learn about art, theater, dance, and music. The camp runs in two weeks sessions as follows:
Mystery/Detective Camp, June 27 - July 7: From Sherlock Holmes to puzzles and games, you’re guaranteed two weeks of excitement.  Each camper will learn how to make puzzles and
write mystery stories with a finishing play that would confuse Dr. Watson.
Medieval/Fantasy Camp, July 10 - July 21: The focus is on knights and ladies, mystery and fantasy, and the arts and crafts of Medieval times. Culminates in a Medieval Festival.
Out of this World/Space Camp, July 24- August 4: Campers will build and launch their own rocket while imagining life on other planets.

Dramatic Figure Sculpture: July 10-14, 2006 9:00am-12:00pm
A dynamic exploration of the visual arts and sculpture inspired by figures from the world of theatre. Students will spend the week creating sculptures base on characters from plays, musicals, dance and other forms of performance. They will go through the process of designing, sketching, creating models and ultimately creating 2 large plaster sculptures. The week will conclude with a gallery opening featuring participant's sculptures. Ages 10-13

Mask Making: July 17-21, 2006 9:00am-12:00pm                                                                 Did you know that virtually every culture has some form of mask making? Did you know that Dr. Seuss made masks? They're amazing! and just as inventive as the worlds he created in his books. Come to Proctor's for a fun-filled week exploring the world of masks, mask making, and Dr. Seuss. Participants will use a variety of materials to create different types of masks based on other cultures and participate in a weeklong project to design, draw, construct, decorate a "Seussational" mask. The week will conclude with a gallery opening on featuring participants' artwork. Ages 8 - 10

Proctors Theater Summer Institute                                            Theatre Institute: July 24-28, 2006 9:00am-12:00pm                                                          This is a week of intensive, non-competitive workshops designed to develop and refine acting skills and excite students about theatre. Students will learn warm-ups for the body and voice and participate in lessons that will help young actors grow as performers. Using improvisation techniques, as well as voice coaching and character development, students will act and interact with fellow performers and ultimately create a short video "commercial" highlighting their new skills. Jazz Institute: July 31-August 4, 2006 9am to 3pm                                                              Jazz Institute Performance at 7pm August 4th at Proctors                                                Aspiring jazz musicians will have the opportunity too develop the skills needed in real-life performance situations in a fun learning environment. Musicians of all levels are welcome as the program will be divided into different experience levels as needed. The classes will utilize fun activities that will stimulate interaction between the students and the instructors. Students will be involved in the creative process while preparing for their performance at the end of the week and will have an opportunity to perform with professional musicians. The students will also have an opportunity to participate in a recording session and will receive a CD of the various participants of the program. Missoula Children's Theatre casting for "The Frog Prince"

Performances: August 11, 2006 1pm and August 12, 2006 3pm                                                 The internationally acclaimed touring company Missoula Children's Theater will return to Proctor's theatre to cast 60 children ages 5 - 18 to perform in "The Frog Prince." Youth will spend a week in rehearsal with the tour directors, refining acting skills and learning new ones concluding the week with a full scale musical production on Proctor's newly expanded stage! No advance preparation is required for auditions. Students will be asked to both speak and sing for group auditions. Wear comfortable clothing and SMILE! Ages 5-18
Cost/Scholarships: $60 for the week.

Sage Summer Art & Design
Intensive studio art courses, both for college credit and non-credit, providing opportunities to work on art skills and develop portfolio pieces.  Sage Summer Art & Design is an exciting, intensive art program developed by Sage College of Albany, one of The Sage Colleges, for high school students.  Summer Art & Design provides an important opportunity to work on skills and projects in an intense and concentrated way.  The program concludes with an exhibition of student work.  A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the course work.  Courses available: Fundamentals of Drawing, Color Theory Through Cartooning and 2D Design, Figurative Sculpture, Mixed Media, Figure Drawing, and Acrylic Painting.
