Michael
Holbrook received a research award in the amount of $300 and a certificate of
recognition from Psi Chi - The National Honor Society in Psychology at the
annual Eastern Psychological Association meeting, for his research on
visuospatial memory in young and elderly adults. Michael conducted this research
for his Senior Seminar (PSY 498) project.
The
"Journal of Behavioral and Neuroscience Research", an on-line peer reviewed

Erin
Burke, an undergraduate student in the department, received a research award in
the amount of $300 and a certificate of recognition from Psi Chi - The National Honor Society
in Psychology, for her research presented at the seventy-third annual Eastern
Psychological Association conference in Boston, MA.
Dr.
Flint published a book entitled "Forget it? Sources, Theories, and Mechanisms of
Alterations in Mnemonic Function." Some contributors to this edited text include Dr.
Ann Zak from the
Psychology Department and Dr. Mark Ylvisaker from the Communication Disorders
Department.
Dr.
Ann Zak and students Erica Armer, Kristina Edmunds, Tara Fleury, Maria Sarris,
and Beth Shatynski published their study entitled, "Age-discrepant
relationships: Do these romances fare well?" in the March/April 2001 issue of
the "North American Journal of Psychology."
Dr.
Nancy Dorr recently published an article entitled, "Status differences and
intergroup bias: A meta-analytic examination of the effects of status stability,
status legitimacy and group permeability," in the journal Psychological
Bulletin.
