Research Interests:

My primary research interests are Machine Learning (a branch of Artificial Intelligence) and its intersection with Computational Molecular Biology.

I am also interested in Software Engineering and Data Communications / Networking.  Any graduate students interested in conducting an independent study or Masters project in these areas should feel free to contact me for further information.

Other Interests:

I have been playing piano since I was a rug-rat, and I enjoy composing and recording music in my home 24-track studio (www.maccabemusic.com).  I had played keyboards in the progressive rock band, Aztec Jade, on Adrenaline/Steelheart Records and currently play bass guitar in a hard rock cover band.  I have taught piano for the past decade or so (good way to put yourself through collegeJ).   I also enjoy Astronomy, Major League Baseball and college basketball (go Saints and Golden Knights!).  But first and foremost, I enjoy spending time with my family, Beth, Ryan Ashley, and Molly Elizabeth!

My former band, Aztec Jade (above left), Most recent album cover (above right), and us performing at PowerMad in Baltimore, MD.  That's me with short hair playing keyboards :)

Playing bass in my current cover band (left) and playing keyboards in the 2001 PowerMad Festival in Maryland.
