The Department of Social Work Two and one half-faculty positions staff the department, which serves
a major and a minor consisting of 40-50 students. Recently accredited
by C. S.W.E., the department educates and trains toward mastery in beginning,
generalist social work practice and toward preparation for graduate study.
The Program resides within the School of Mathematics and Sciences which
also houses related social sciences, which support this interdisciplinary
major. The department also offers courses that make up the College's elective
and liberal arts curricula. Examples include Child Abuse and Neglect,
The Invisible 10%: A Study of Homosexuality, Old Age in America, Family
Violence, and others. |
