*Young Learner Profile Questionnaire, Ó 1999 Plowman—Derived from the LPQ originally developed in 1994 by Confessore & Confessore designed for Adult Learners (>8th grade). Modified the instrument (YLPQ) to 5th grade readability level measures basic skills, desire to learn, initiative, resourcefulness, and persistence in young learners.

*eLearning Survey, © 2005 Plowman—measures learner traits and dispositions toward eLearning and provides predictability indicators which link electronic learning dispositions to student success rates.

 

Research interests: Continued exploration of the affective areas young learners use to move toward self-directed or autonomous learning; examination of the process of self-directed learning at various stages of human development as it integrates into the information age, examination of the changing influence of technology on education.
